That's right Johnson.

It wasn't my best performance.

Ha, I think I remember that Fortunes. You were in the Vine before hand weren't you?

Getting thrown out about 8 years ago after 7 mins.

I was with my kids.

JAN 93 was the fog game in the cup, Barnsley was the next round.

CREWE put us out the league cup that season.

1.1 in 2004, It was end to end and they had just done us 4.3 after us being 3.0 up, they were singing it all game. Brian DEAN then smashes one in, took forever to bend in the corner, absolute LIMBS in our end though, mental scenes.

They scored an OG from Mullins with 10 left, nothing goal.

3- 0 down, Demba Ba 3-3 loved that game

That 4-1 defeat at Oakwell is the worst away dame I have ever been to.

Their fans were quite lively too.

I was 18 in January 93, so it must've been then.

Re: West Brom away memories?
Think the cup game in the fog might've been 92, but in 91 I was 17 and hadn't taken my driving test yet.

FA cup third round. We won 2-0, but we couldn't see past the halfway line and missed both goals.

I was at the FA cup game in the fog. 91?

I think we sang through a minutes silence before the game, for some old West Brom boy.

Don't blame me, I was about 15.

2003 - 1-1

Two mates got ejected only to see them waving from one of the executive boxes in the main stand when we scored. They had somehow blagged their back in and were given the full hospitality works!!

Happy days back then supporting West Ham up and down the Championship grounds.

Re: West Brom away memories?
My mate had a lucky West Ham tape that we always played of the players singing songs like bubbles.

My other mate jokingly threw it across the car after the loss just as I was opening the window. Probably still on the A1 somewhere!!

Grumps

I believe so yes. Snow and hail iirc and no roof on the stand.

Got a feeling it was an early kick off as well as I'm sure we left UP at around 6am.

4-1 defeat followed by hours in a traffic jam on the way home.

A pretty shitty day all round.

Re: West Brom away memories?
I remember getting absolute hammered by hail stones at Barnsley one year in the cup, wasn't that game was it Cony?

Re: West Brom away memories?
Only been once and that was the 'fog' game.

Pretty sure Dicks did a lovely dummy for Robson's goal although my memory isn't what it used to be.

Unfortunately I also went to the Barnsley debacle in the next round. :(

Re: West Brom away memories?
My god I loved following the club back in those beautiful days before we were ever in the premiership.

RIP Bob the Cap - sorry my car was shit for all the times I gave you a lift back then.

When Ashton went-up for an innocuous header and collapsed in a heap on the pitch.

That's when we all knew his career was over.

Re: West Brom away memories?
Won 2-0 West Brom fans were singing call it off with about 5 minutes to go.
